Founded in 2014, Cedar Park-based Firefly Aerospace operates the small-class Alpha launcher and the Blue Ghost lunar lander. Their CLPS task orders target Mare Crisium and the lunar far side via the Lunar Pathfinder relay.
Blue Ghost Mission 1 was the first fully-successful U.S. commercial lunar landing, delivering 10 NASA payloads and operating through a full lunar day. The company has since closed a Series E and is scaling Alpha, MLV, and the Elytra orbital vehicle in parallel.
