Founded in 2010 in Tokyo, ispace is Japan's first commercial lunar lander operator. The HAKUTO-R series targets the cislunar economy: payload delivery, resource prospecting, and the Tenacious micro-rover platform.
After Mission 1 ended in a hard landing in 2023, Resilience (Mission 2) entered lunar orbit successfully in 2025 with a refined altimetry stack. ispace also operates ispace U.S., the Apex-class lander developer pursuing NASA contracts.
