Apollo 12

-3.010° -23.420° · Oceanus Procellarum

Pinpoint landing 183 m from Surveyor 3.

Trajectory

Saturn V launched into an initially-free-return path, then committed to a hybrid non-free-return trajectory after translunar injection (TLI) to enable a pinpoint landing in Oceanus Procellarum, 183 m from the long-dormant Surveyor 3. The mission survived two separate lightning strikes during launch ascent before continuing to the Moon.
