Same dual-vehicle and lunar-orbit-rendezvous profile as Chang'e 5, but targeted at the far side via the Queqiao-2 relay satellite. Sampled the Apollo crater inside the giant South Pole-Aitken basin and returned 1.935 kg, the first samples from the far side and the deepest excavation of pre-Imbrian lunar material to date.
